Wahid A. Kamalian

Wahid A. Kamalian is an accomplished Investment & strategic advisor with extensive deal experience in multi-billion $ and mid-market debt & equity deals for global investors including ADIA, CPPIB, CDPQ, Temasek, GIC, and Khazanah Nasional across various regions.

He co-founded a tech-enabled business, successfully building, growing, and exiting the venture. His background as a co-founder and venture architect enabled him to advise a United Nations Agency on establishing an incubator, accelerator, and venture builder.

Currently, Wahid applies his expertise to support donor fundraising efforts and strategic initiatives of development agencies, non-profits, and charities to create social impact. His work with United Nations Agencies and NGOs has contributed to impacting over 20,000 lives.

With a strong cultural awareness of the Middle East region and proficiency in languages like Arabic, Dari, and Farsi, Wahid has lived and worked in global financial hubs such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and London. He comes from a multi-cultural family with deep roots in the Middle East dating back to the 1940s.

Wahid Kamalian holds a diverse educational background, studying International Law, Business at SOAS University Of London, Bachelor Of Law In Law at Middlesex University, and Master Of Laws In Banking, Law, Finance at The University Of Law.

He has been associated with prominent organizations such as One Young World, UNLEASH - Innovation lab for SDGs, UNITE 2030, MovingWorlds, and Resolute Asset Management where he served as an Advisor & Asset Manager in Distressed & Special Situations RE Debt & Equity.

Furthermore, Wahid's experience includes roles at KPMG in M&A and Strategic Advisory, as well as internships at prestigious firms like DIFC Courts, DLA Piper, Allen & Overy, Linklaters, and Clifford Chance, focusing on various aspects of banking, Islamic finance, and investment funds.
