Veena Velury
Veena Velury, a graduate of San Jose State University and NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, has an extensive background in communicative disorders and sciences. She has worked as a former Graduate Research Assistant at SAIL+CTM Project, Student Clinician at Kay Armstead Center for Communicative Disorders and San Jose State University, and Student Advisory Committee Member, Chapter President, and California Cohort Ambassador at Active Minds, Inc.
In addition to her work in communicative disorders, Velury has volunteered and interned at several organizations focusing on teaching and assessing language for kids, providing respite care, and child development centers.
Velury's expertise and interests include communicative disorders, child and adolescent development, deaf studies, speech and language therapy, and mental health advocacy.
