Tyson Hepple

Tyson Hepple has a rich 30-year career in the UK Home Office, serving in various roles from Executive Officer to Director General, with a brief stint at the British Library.

His expertise lies in policy and strategy formulation concerning safeguarding, civil liberties, policing, crime, and international criminality. He also specializes in change management.

He has held significant operational positions such as being the first Director General of HM Passport Office, overseeing the UK asylum system, and currently serving as the Director General for Immigration Enforcement since 2018.

Tyson is known for his leadership of diverse teams in the UK and globally, focusing on operational excellence, wellbeing, and diversity. He was honored as a Companion of the Order of the Bath (CB) in 2017 for his remarkable contributions.

He pursued his education with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Relations from the University of Reading, and earlier studies at St Brendan’s College in Bristol and Milton Junior School in Somerset.
