Tiago Costa

Tiago Costa is a Distributed Generation Engineer at EDP with a focus on developing the Solar Energy business.

With prior experience at HelioPower in California, Tiago has a strong background in financing, designing, and installing solar power systems.

His expertise extends to the Energy Market in Brazil, having worked at EDP, CEMIG, Odebrecht, and Santo Antonio at a 3.4 GW hydro plant.

Tiago's dedication to solar energy stems from its eco-friendly and cost-effective nature, as he believes it to be one of the most affordable energy sources.

He conducted a business benchmark on EDP's solar business in Portugal, gaining insights from selling and financing over 2,000 solar systems in 2015.

Participating in conferences in the US and Germany, Tiago learned about the policies and regulations impacting the solar market in those countries.

His educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, with a certification in Renewable Energy Management.

Tiago's interest in systematic trading systems led him to develop and trade in US and Brazilian equity markets for over 6 years.

Originally from Belo Horizonte, Tiago now resides in São Paulo.
