Sunil Nagaraj is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ubiquity Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm focused on "software beyond the screen" startups.13 He has over $150 million in assets under management across three funds.3
Nagaraj previously spent six years as a venture capitalist at Bessemer Venture Partners, where he led seed and Series A rounds for companies like Auth0 (acquired by Okta for $6.5B) and Zapier.12 He also has experience as a founder, having started the online dating startup Triangulate.1
At Ubiquity, Nagaraj invests in B2B tech companies using smart hardware and machine learning to solve real-world problems outside the reach of computers and smartphones.13 Some of Ubiquity's investments include Croptide, a startup developing a "smartwatch" for plants to monitor their status4, and Halter, which allows controlling cows from a smartphone.4
Nagaraj currently serves on the boards of Croptide and other Ubiquity portfolio companies.3 He is also a Past President of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific and serves on the advisory board of Harvard Business School's California Research Center.13
