Sunil Nagaraj

Sunil Nagaraj is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ubiquity Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm focused on investing in "software beyond the screen" startups.13 He currently serves on the board of directors of Croptide, an agtech startup developing a "smartwatch for plants" that monitors plant health.36

Prior to founding Ubiquity Ventures in 2017, Nagaraj spent six years as a venture capitalist at Bessemer Venture Partners, where he led seed and Series A rounds for companies like Auth0 (acquired by Okta for $6.5 billion) and Zapier.13 He has also worked at Bain & Company, Cisco, and Microsoft.3

Nagaraj holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.3 He is a Past President of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific and serves on the Advisory Board of the Harvard Business School California Research Center.13

Ubiquity Ventures, which Nagaraj founded, has raised over $150 million across three funds to invest in startups utilizing smart hardware and machine learning to solve real-world problems.245 The firm takes a hands-on approach, helping portfolio companies instill discipline and achieve a 90% graduation rate from seed to Series A.2
