Tsuyoshi Ito

Tsuyoshi Ito is the CEO and Managing Partner of Beyond Next Ventures Inc., a venture capital firm he founded in August 2014. The firm focuses on seed and early-stage investments, particularly in deep technology sectors such as healthcare, AI, robotics, and agri-food, primarily in Japan and India. Under his leadership, Beyond Next Ventures has grown to manage approximately $270 million in assets and has invested in over 80 startups, with a notable emphasis on supporting the commercialization of academic research.124

Ito holds a master's degree in Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology and has a significant background in venture capital, having previously worked at JAFCO Co., Ltd., where he led investments in deep-tech startups. He also serves as an external board member for several companies and has held academic positions as a guest professor at Nagoya University and Hiroshima University.145
