Oversaw all legal and secretarial functions, including all corporate, litigation, intellectual property, food labeling laws and secretarial matters across diverse geographies, and provided strategic advice to the Chief Executive, Board and Senior Management of the Company. Worked with business heads in India, UAE, Germany, UK and US to provide strategic legal advice. Formulated and implemented Group legal policies and guidelines on key issues such as corporate governance and intellectual property including FCPA, OFAC, AML/CFT, US FDA etc. and supervised filings with the SEC and the NYSE. Managed a team of 8 internal legal/secretarial/compliance persons and several outside law firms in US, Asia, Europe, and Africa.
