Patrick Henning

Patrick Henning is an accomplished executive with expertise in communications, government affairs, and public policy. He currently serves as the Director of Legislative Advocacy for the Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas (RNG Coalition), where he manages the organization's North America lobbying efforts targeting multiple states and tracks legislation while supporting the sustainable advancement of renewable natural gas.134

Prior to his role at the RNG Coalition, Henning served as Managing Director at Mercury, a government relations and public strategy firm.1 He has also held numerous top policy positions in state and federal government, including:

• Chief Deputy Treasurer at the California State Treasurer's Office25
• Director of California's Employment Development Department
• Chief Deputy Appointments Secretary in the Office of Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr.
• Legislative Advocate for the California State Council of Laborers from 2004 to 2011
• Assistant Secretary for Legislation and Intergovernmental Affairs at the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency from 2003 to 2004
• Deputy Director for Legislation at the California Department of Industrial Relations from 2000 to 2003
• Congressional Liaison and Special Advisor to President William J. Clinton from 1999 to 200012
