Scott Chen

Scott Chen is a seasoned Machine Learning, Data, and Software professional with a passion for assisting organizations in navigating uncertainties and driving business value through experimentation and insights.

With over 15 years of experience in Machine Learning, including significant time in ML engineering management, Ad Tech, and research, Scott has contributed to a broad array of ML/AI-powered products such as ads targeting, ranking, personalization, brand safety, and workflow automation, focusing on delivering high ROI solutions.

Scott holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, he completed his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering at National Taiwan University.

Having held key roles at prestigious organizations, Scott has served as a Research Engineering Manager at Google DeepMind, a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Roblox, and in various Machine Learning leadership positions at Twitter. He has also interned as a Software Engineer at KLA-Tencor during his academic journey.
