Ruwa Romman is a prominent figure in both the public and private sectors, currently serving as a State Representative in the Georgia General Assembly since January 2023. She represents Georgia House District 97, making history as the first Muslim woman and the first Palestinian-American elected to the Georgia State House.23

Ruwa Romman holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University, which she completed in 2019, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Oglethorpe University, where she graduated in 2015. Before her election to the state legislature, Romman worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte from May 2021 to December 2022, after serving as a Consultant in the Government & Public Services division from August 2019 to May 2021. In these roles, she provided strategic counsel to enhance public sector performance.13 Her earlier positions included being a Legislative Fellow at Poligon Education Fund and Communications Director for CAIR-Georgia, showcasing her commitment to civil rights and community engagement.23
