Ruth Benjamin-Thomas

Ruth Benjamin-Thomas is an accomplished jewellery designer and gemologist with a passion for Australian opals. She studied Coloured Stones and Diamond Classification at the Gemological Institute of America and pursued a BA in History and Politics at the University of Western Australia. Ruth is driven to share her knowledge and love of opals with the world, through print and online narratives, in-person presentations, and custom jewellery design. She is the Chief Wrangler and Jewellery Designer at Black Opal Direct where she leads a dedicated team committed to serving global clients with exceptional customer service.
