Rob Gilmour

Rob Gilmour, currently serving as Vice President at Counsel Public Affairs, is an accomplished professional with over twenty years of experience in public affairs, stakeholder relations, communications, training, public relations, events, fundraising, and campaign leadership.

His background includes senior roles in successful political campaigns at various levels, providing organization, presentations, and candidate training at political conventions. Rob has previously worked on Parliament Hill and at Queen's Park for progressive conservative governments.

As the former Deputy Executive Director at PC Caucus Services, he managed research, outreach, and political affairs for the Ontario PC Government Caucus.

Rob has a diverse professional portfolio, having been the Executive Director of an organization advocating for disability benefits access and collaborating with a Paralympian to promote motivation and hope.

His experience also extends to the corporate sector, where he spearheaded the expansion of a car-sharing company across Canada, overseeing public affairs, marketing, events, communications, and stakeholder relations.

Passionate about running war rooms, Rob has led successful campaigns earning widespread support from various municipalities. He has a strong background in fundraising, having co-authored a political fundraising manual and raised over $10 million through successful sponsorship initiatives.

A proud graduate of Brock University with a degree in English Literature, Rob has a rural upbringing in the Niagara Region. He has a strong grassroots presence, having knocked on over 30,000 doors and excelling in Get Out the Vote campaigns.
