Dr. Geoffrey Desmoulin, known as RKin Geoffrey Desmoulin, serves as the Principal of GTD Scientific Inc., a leading provider of Biomechanical Consulting Services across North America and globally.
With a diverse background in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Kinesiology, Dr. Desmoulin has established himself as an expert in Injury Biomechanics, Incident Reconstruction, and Physical Testing, particularly in the Science of Violence™.
Under his leadership, GTD Scientific has been involved in complex injury litigation cases, including those related to police use of force and violent encounters, with recognized expertise in areas such as the development of testing and shooting reconstruction methodologies.
Apart from his work in biomechanics, Dr. Desmoulin gained international recognition as the science and engineering host for Viacom Networks' 'Deadliest Warrior' television show, where he assessed weapon effectiveness and injury potential for historical warriors.
Dr. Desmoulin's educational background includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary, an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University, and both MSc and BSc (Hons) in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. Additionally, he holds a certification as an Emergency Medical Technician - Ambulance from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Desmoulin has held various positions such as Associate Research Director at Optima Health Solutions International Corp., Teaching Assistant, and Research Assistant at Simon Fraser University, Research Kinesiologist at Neurostream Technologies, and Firefighter at Canmore Emergency Services.
