Rex Mueller

Rex Mueller is the Chief of Police at the Sioux City Police Department with a distinguished law enforcement career spanning back to 1996.

Throughout his tenure, Rex has held various roles including Patrol Officer, CAST Officer, Crime Stoppers Coordinator, Accident Reconstructionist, Sergeant overseeing the ASAP Unit and SWAT Unit, and Lieutenant managing the Watch Commander duties, Community Policing Program, and SWAT Unit.

As a police Captain, Rex led the Uniform Services Bureau demonstrating strong capabilities in patrol operations, leadership, death investigations, incident management, and tactical operations.

With a solid educational background, Rex studied Executive Leadership, Advanced Violent Crime Investigation, Crisis Management, Law Enforcement Legal, Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration at the F.B.I. National Academy and Criminal Justice/Criminal Justice Administration at The University of South Dakota.

Rex Mueller's extensive experience and leadership skills make him a respected figure in law enforcement and a valuable asset to the Sioux City Police Department.
