Richard Lam is a highly accomplished senior leader in Operational Excellence with a wealth of experience in implementing change programs in large multi-national organizations. He has over 28 years of expertise, including working at Bank of America, Ford Motor Company, and BMO Bank. Over the course of his career, he has developed his skills in Business Process Improvement through the use of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, resulting in over half a billion dollars of accumulated savings. Lam has also developed and led successful Operational Excellence programs resulting in five Global Annual Awards of Process Excellence, including being named the Deployment Leader of the Year.

Lam's specialties include End-to-End process management and re-engineering, large-scale business transformation, large-scale Lean Six Sigma development and deployment, Business Process Management and Change leadership, Management Consulting, and Engineering Excellence training and consulting. Lam holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an Executive MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University.

Currently, Lam serves as the Managing Partner of Operational Excellence Corporate Training & Consulting at Global Lean Sigma, LLC. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Enterprise Process Excellence at TD Financial Group, Senior Director of Enterprise Consulting Group at RBC Royal Bank, Director/Practice Lead of Business Process Improvement Consulting at BMO Financial Group, and Senior Vice President of Quality & Productivity at Bank of America.
