Dr. Pauline Kang is a Senior Lecturer and the Director of Teaching at the School of Optometry and Vision Science, UNSW, with a focus on optical strategies for myopia control.
Her research delves into the optical changes induced by various contact lenses to understand their effects on myopia control. She explores improvements in efficacy of current myopia control devices through changes in visual function, binocularity, and accommodation.
Dr. Kang coordinates the Myopia Clinic at UNSW Optometry Clinic, dedicated to myopia management and teaching evidence-based management to undergraduate Optometry and Vision Science students. She has an extensive education background, including a PhD in Optometry and Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics from UNSW.
She has held positions as a Lecturer at UNSW, Visiting Research Scholar at State University of New York College of Optometry and University of California, Berkeley, Postdoctoral Researcher at UNSW, and Clinical Optometrist at OPSM.
