Mike Croucher

Mike Croucher is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in research computing, scientific software, high performance computing, cloud computing, and research software engineering. Currently serving as a Principal Customer Success Engineer at MathWorks, his primary focus is on assisting educators, researchers, students, and institutions in achieving success through the Customer Success Engineering team. Prior to his role at MathWorks, Mike held positions at Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) where he concentrated on High Performance Computing in the cloud and Machine Learning. He was also the co-founder of the Research Software Engineering (RSE) group at the University of Sheffield, a pioneer in the UK, providing comprehensive support in HPC, cloud computing, and research software engineering across various disciplines. Recognized for his contributions, Mike received one of the initial EPSRC-funded Research Software Engineering fellowships in the UK.
