Michael Rothman
Experienced Managing Partner and Founder
Michael Rothman is the Managing Partner at Sprezzatura Ventures, a position he has held since September 2012. His role involves providing management advisory services, early-stage investing, and business incubation for various consumer businesses, including notable companies like Accrue, American Express, and Jolie Skincare.1
Rothman has an extensive background in digital media and business development. He co-founded and served as CEO of Fatherly, a digital media brand focused on parenting, from January 2013 until April 2022. He has also held significant roles at Thrillist Media Group, where he was involved in creating and managing their e-commerce platform and was responsible for sales and business development initiatives.1
In addition to his work at Sprezzatura Ventures, Rothman is an angel investor with First Round Capital and serves on the Business Advisory Board for ProPublica. He is also involved with The Moth, a nonprofit organization dedicated to storytelling, and the Sunday Dinner Community, which fosters networking among marketing leaders.12
He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Modern European History from Brown University.1
