Noah Sanborn Friedman is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Top Shelf Ventures, a venture capital firm that specializes in investing in rapidly growing alcohol brands. He has been in this role since November 2021, focusing on finding, funding, and accelerating innovative companies in the beverage alcohol sector.24
Friedman has a diverse background in entrepreneurship and investment. Before establishing Top Shelf Ventures, he held various positions, including Chief Operating Officer at 3x3, a retail analytics platform for the beverage alcohol industry, where he played a key role in building a vast network of liquor retailers.13 He also co-founded 6FTCloser, a digital platform that gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic for promoting mental health and gratitude.2
In addition to his work at Top Shelf Ventures, Friedman is involved with Uncharted, a community for founders and funders that hosts events and summits to foster connections and opportunities in the entrepreneurial space.12 He has also served as an advisor for several companies, including TapRm and The Long Drink Company, and has a history of working closely with Michael Loeb at Loeb Enterprises, where he started as a venture associate.25
Friedman graduated from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, where he was part of the Honors Program, and has a background in acting, which he considers a valuable skill for public speaking and social development.12
