Micah Kotch

Micah Kotch is a nationally recognized leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience in urbantech, design, clean energy, and mobility. After studying East Asian Studies at Colgate University and completing further education at Packer, Micah has gone on to become the Managing Director of URBAN-X, an accelerator that invests in and supports startups working to solve urban challenges. Prior to this, Micah was Director of NY Prize and Strategic Adviser for Innovation at NYSERDA, Executive Director of the New York City Accelerator for a Clean and Resilient Economy (NYC ACRE) at Polytechnic Institute of NYU, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Polytechnic Institute of NYU, strategic consultant at Pratt Institute, co-founder and Strategic Director at Design In Kind, and Business Development Executive at Gameloft.

Micah has a love for early-stage ventures, Lean Startup, and big company business model innovation. Having worked with utilities, government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, educational institutions, and investors, he has a proven track record of success. Micah is particularly interested in the intersection of real estate, mobility and the grid, and has a strong record of delivering customers, managing change, and driving new business. As a member of the core faculty selected by the National Science Foundation and facilitator of I-Corps team training, Micah is a nationally recognized thought leader with deep relationships across multiple mobility, urbantech and energy-related sectors.
