Maxwell Ashford
Product Designer
Maxwell Ashford is a British designer currently based in Switzerland, with a strong focus on sustainability and addressing the environmental and social impacts of product consumption and production.
He inherited a passion for design from his cabinet maker father and went on to graduate with a first-class degree in Sustainable Product Design from Falmouth University in the UK, studying under notable professors like Sir Kenneth Grange.
Following his graduation, Maxwell gained experience in both designer-maker roles and consultancy positions, working with international clients and traveling extensively for production-related trips to countries like China and Canada.
In 2019, he furthered his education by enrolling in the Master Product Design course at ECAL, where he had the opportunity to learn from renowned designers and practitioners in the field.
Maxwell has been recognized with several design awards, including the prestigious US Good Design Award and the Japanese Good Design G-Mark award. He has also received accolades for sustainability innovations, such as Nike's Circular Innovation Award.
