Mauro Ettorre
CNRS Research Scientist
Dr. Mauro Ettorre is an accomplished researcher with a strong background in Electrical Engineering and Electromagnetics.
He holds a Laurea degree "summa cum laude" in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Electromagnetics from the University of Siena, Italy.
Having worked at prestigious institutions such as the Defence, Security and Safety Institute of TNO in the Netherlands, the Institut d'Electronique et de Télécommunications de Rennes in France, and the University of Michigan, Dr. Ettorre has a diverse international experience.
Currently a Research Scientist at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), he leads the BEAMS team at IETR and is associated with the French National Committee for Scientific Research.
His research interests span across leaky-wave antennas, periodic structures, millimeter-wave antennas, non-diffractive radiation, near-field focusing techniques, and wireless power transfer systems.
Dr. Ettorre is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation and serves on the best paper award selection committee for the IEEE Transactions on Terahertz Science and Technology.
He has an extensive publication record with over 65 journal papers, 169 conference papers, and 1 book chapter. Additionally, he holds 11 international patents on millimeter-wave antenna technology.
His accolades include the Young Antenna Engineer Prize, awards from the French Ministry of Research and the French National Research Agency, the CNRS Award for Scientific Excellence, and the Innovation Award at the ESA Antenna Workshop.
In 2018, he received the Best Paper Award in Electromagnetics and Antenna Theory at the European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP) in London, UK.
