    Matt Gray is a seasoned professional with nearly 20 years of experience in analyzing, developing, and implementing sustainability, climate action, and conservation strategies across various sectors and scales.

    As the Senior VP of Programs at the Student Conservation Association, Matt plays a key role in leading initiatives that drive systemic change through collaboration, trust-building, and effective communication.

    Prior to his current role, Matt served as the Chief of Sustainability for the City of Cleveland, spearheading the Sustainable Cleveland 2019 initiative focused on urban sustainability and climate action.

    Matt's expertise extends to his work as a U.S. Fulbright Fellow in Mauritius, where he studied climate change impacts and adaptation governance, as well as his tenure at the U.S. Department of Energy, focusing on green building and climate change initiatives.

    With a background in energy management consulting, ecological water purification, and conservation, Matt holds dual bachelor degrees in Industrial Engineering and Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh, along with a Masters in Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University.

    In addition to his educational background, Matt is a LEED and EcoDistricts Accredited Professional, showcasing his commitment to sustainability and environmental practices.
