Patrick Houston is currently an intern on the State Ambition Team at RMI (Rocky Mountain Institute), a nonprofit organization focused on advancing clean energy solutions. He started his internship in May 2023 and is based in Somerville, Massachusetts. Prior to his role at RMI, Houston worked as a Climate and Inequality Campaigns Associate at New York Communities for Change, where he gained experience in advocacy and research related to climate issues and social equity.23
Houston is a graduate of Swarthmore College, where he studied political science, equipping him with the analytical skills relevant to his current internship and previous roles in climate advocacy.4 His work at RMI involves supporting state-level policymakers and contributing to the organization's mission of promoting sustainable energy practices and policies.1
