Marcela Gómez

Marcela Gómez is a dynamic and experienced multicultural communications expert with over 25 years of experience in marketing, advertising, and public relations. She is the Co-Founder of Culture Shift Team, a strategic multicultural marketing and public relations group that offers services to consumer, corporate, and non-profit clients. Marcela is a results-driven leader with excellent team management and project leadership experience. She is also a problem solver with a creative mind and exceptional public speaking skills.

A native of Bogotá, Colombia, Marcela graduated from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano with a bachelor's degree in advertising. She moved to Miami, Florida, and started working as the advertising coordinator with Editorial Unilit and became part of the leadership team at Expolit. Later, she joined Thomas Nelson Publisher's Spanish language division in Nashville, Tennessee, as a sales representative and was later promoted to marketing director.

Before co-founding Culture Shift Team, Marcela founded and was the CEO of Hispanic Marketing Group, a leading full-service bilingual and bicultural marketing and communications agency.

Marcela is also an active community leader and has served on several boards and committees, including the Metro Human Relations Commission, Entrepreneur Latina Leaders of America, and the Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce.

In her free time, Marcela enjoys traveling, films, theater, ballet, opera, and symphony. She has a 30-year-old son, Esteban Pedraza, who is an award-winning film director residing in Brooklyn, NY.
