Liza Politi
Independent Producer | Founder & Artistic Director, Statement Arts
Liza Politi is a creative powerhouse with a passion for art, education, and humanitarian work. A New York City-based producer, photographer, actor, and teacher, she holds a BFA in Drama from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. With her extensive background in crisis management and volunteer work, Liza has dedicated her career to empowering marginalized communities through the arts.
Liza's impressive resume includes producing and co-producing award-winning documentary and narrative feature films. She has worked with National Geographic, organizing photography workshops and expeditions in over 45 countries all around the world. As an actor, Liza has been featured in a variety of publications, TV shows, and commercials, including Sensodyne, Volvo, Gerber’s, and more.
In 2006, Liza founded Statement Arts, a non-profit organization that offers arts education and mentorship programs to underprivileged urban youth. Statement Arts has received grants from prestigious organizations such as Morgan Stanley, The NY Department of Cultural Affairs, and The Rudin Foundation, and has been featured in ABC News, Fox 5, and MSNBC. In 2019, Morgan Stanley awarded Statement Arts with their Lights On Broadway grant and promoted the non-profit on a billboard in Times Square for an entire month.
Beyond her work in the arts, Liza has extensive experience in crisis management and volunteer work. Following Hurricane Katrina, she organized and produced "Broadway on the Bayou," a USO-style tour that received national attention and was featured on MSNBC. She also volunteered as a rescue and relief worker with the American Red Cross and The Salvation Army during the Ground Zero recovery efforts.
