Demonstrated expertise in targeting key markets through knowledge of the Japanese and American publishing industries. Editor of 16 in-house properties, including best-selling adaptation of HarperCollins hit children’s series, The Warriors, in addition to over a dozen licensed manga series.  Responsible for delivering materials on time and on budget. Developed a two-year brand strategy for four key franchise series, including publishing opportunities, merchandising, web marketing and games. Worked with a team at Ubisoft on story and content development for an adaptation of an existing Nintendo DS game to feature TOKYOPOP properties and characters.

Spearheaded development and production of original intellectual property, as well as evaluation and selection of HarperCollins novels series for co-published graphic novel adaptations. Instrumental in championing hot new properties from Japan and Korea for licensing, and in designing production schedules to maximize potential promotional opportunities.Editorial liaison on Andrews McMeel Universal co-production, putting manga in 40 newspapers nationwide.

Initiated the development of a new publishing line, and directed title selection, branding, website design, copywriting, production schedule and presentations.  Editorial liaison on co-produced project with CosmoGirl magazine, bringing manga to 1.3 million new readers in key target demographic.Edited scripts, back cover copy, marketing materials, press releases, and contributed content for company promotional magazine and website. Responsible for evaluating incoming submissions, selecting promising concepts and nurturing new creative talent.
