As the Senior Director of Digital Content at Shondaland, I lead the creative vision and execution of our digital presence, driving the evolution of the Shondaland website and its connected video content. I craft and implement a forward-thinking digital media strategy that aligns with Shondaland’s goals, fostering high-impact collaborations with teams across Production, Audio, Marketing, Art, and Consumer Products to ensure seamless integration and success.

My mission is to ignite engagement and loyalty within our core demographic while amplifying Shondaland’s brand and expanding its online footprint. Through innovative content strategies, I aim to captivate our audience, enhancing their connection with the Shondaland universe.

Shondaland

Senior Director, Digital Content

• Beginning in November 2023, led and launched content strategy that, by March 2024, transitioned Shondaland.com from a general lifestyle site to a Shondaland-specific destination in which all editorial and video content broadens access to, engagement with, and education of Shondaland products: shows (Bridgerton, Grey’s Anatomy, Queen Charlotte, The Residence, etc.), talent, podcasts, consumer products, and the overall brand. This new site focus services stakeholder partnerships, expands brand reach, and delivers an exclusive experience for Shondaland fans.  
• Redeveloped and honed a brand-specific editorial tone and voice across all editorial and video content to support company goals of expanding the scope of our IP, growing and engaging our fan and reader community, and creating opportunities for new forms of storytelling around IP launches and immersive fan experiences.
• Project managed ideation of and strategy of Shondaland’s first-ever live YouTube red carpet broadcast at the NYC global premiere of Bridgerton season three, which garnered an average of 11,000 real-time viewers, 150,000 subsequent YouTube views, and over 3,000 new subscribers to Shondaland’s YouTube page.
• Managed full Shondaland.com redesign by collaborating across Art, Design, and Marketing teams to refine content standards (reorganization of all site navigation, site structure, and URLs for over 500 stories), improve SEO strategy (keywords, metadata, tags), and update all site imagery and layouts to improve experience, functionality, and searchability. 
• Leads growing Digital Media team of two editors, two staff writers, and two video producers through ideation, strategy, and production of daily content to ensure editorial standards are met for over 80 editorial stories and 10 pieces of video content a month.
• Implemented new technologies such as AI to optimize personal and team performance through idea generation, content outlines, emerging data trends, and headline optimization.

Managing Editor

• Streamlined, managed, and, based on data and analytics, refined process for content creation, including aligning respective calendars for daily content, copy editing, and visual assets to optimize production across departments, leading to a 200% growth in content production and a 100% increase in traffic.
• Developed and oversaw cross-channel content through collaboration with Shondaland PR team, podcast team, TV production, and Netflix to deliver high-performing web stories and packages on marquee products like Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, and Inventing Anna.
• Established and managed a more connected, efficient day-to-day workflow to scale staff, produce an average of 120 stories a month, clarify and increase site verticals, and support Shondaland’s short and long-term content strategy.
• More than doubled the Shondaland.com editorial team via hiring and onboarding of two editors, two staff writers, a copy editor, an editorial assistant, a graphic designer, a permalancer Senior Contributor, and nearly 50 freelancer writers and content producers to increase production, expand reach into new verticals, and broaden social engagement.
• Conceptualized, developed, and oversaw editorial plan as well as hired and managed a dedicated writer/editor to execute dozens of respective pieces of prelaunch, launch, and post-launch content for priority Shondaland and Netflix series such as Bridgerton season one and two, Inventing Anna, and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Collectively, these series have reached nearly 200 million households via billions of hours of viewership and helped lead to Shondaland.com’s first — and sustained — months of one million unique users.

• Assigned, edited, and wrote 15 web features a week focused on the intersection of design, lifestyle, real estate, and travel with celebrity and entertainment. 
• Strategized and conceptualized video content for Condé Nast Entertainment with a keen focus on AD.com’s highly successful “Open Door” celebrity home tour series, which averages 5M viewers monthly. 
• Supported CN Talent Group in celebrity bookings for print and video web features.

• Developed strategy and wrote advertising content for editorial brand placements for clients including Crest, Oil of Olay,  John Frieda, and Karl Lagerfeld.
• Pitched, researched, and wrote print and digital editorial content for publication including including:
Glamour/glamour.com, ELLE, Men's Health, Misson Magazine.
• Lead strategy for and program manages Glamour's annual multi-million-dollar Women of the Year summit and awards presentation. This includes collaboration across over 30 internal and external stakeholders to ensure objectives are met.
• Conceptualized and wrote WOTY summit content, including celebrity speeches, panels, and audience/talent Q&A's.

Freelance Writer/Editor/Content Producer

• Reinforced ELLE senior staff via long-term editorial planning, budget management, and oversight of 20-30 pages per issue that reached ELLE’s two million monthly print subscribers and ELLE.com’s one million monthly users.  
• Co-led content initiatives for ELLE’s four tentpole franchise issues: Women in Hollywood, TV, Comedy, and Music. 
• Supported ELLE Entertainment Director in all celebrity bookings, including cover talent, emerging actors and musicians (Brie Larson, Dua Lipa, Margot Robbie), and A-list male talent (Chris Hemsworth, Chadwick Boseman, Jake Gyllenhaal) for ELLE’s most-read monthly print feature, Cherchez La Femme.  
• Co-led content initiatives for ELLE’s four tentpole franchise issues — Women in Hollywood, TV, Comedy, and Music — with print packages, fashion stories, and long-form features featuring celebrity talent (including cover stars). Further activated content via industry events, dinners, consumer-facing parties, and partnerships.
• Strategized with ELLE.com editorial and social team to translate print stories to digital platform in order to broaden editorial scope, reach, and exposure of ELLE content.
• Integrated with ELLE’s marketing team to leverage in-book talent and content for sponsored and/or partnered events, such as the 2017 ELLE Women in Music x Billboard Music Awards concert event.

ELLE Magazine

• Managed multiple workstreams for booking, editing, writing and/or assigning approximately 10-20 pages of monthly celebrity and content in every issue, ranging from front-of-book pieces to cover stories. 
• Conducted interviews and authored corresponding profiles and features on many A-list, indie, and emerging actors and musicians. 
• Managed, assigned, and edited nearly 30 freelancer writers, including a core of marquee and rising talent. 
• Scouted emerging on-screen and/or music talent at concerts, showcases, screenings, film festivals (Sundance; Tribeca), and weekly celebrity meet-and-greets for in-book features.

Researched and wrote over 250 posts — including roundups, features, guides, and interviews — reflecting Out's voice to establish them as a greater presence in the fashion space.

- Compiled and organized yearly data showing brand performance—including newsstand sales, coverline test results, month-to-month ad page numbers, and past, current, and future editorial coverage—into presentations for annual ELLE International Committee meetings in Paris and ELLE National Sales Meeting in New York, events that brought together leadership from all 44 international ELLE editions. 
- Developed trend reports for ELLE fashion team by attending shows at Milan and New York Fashion Week. 
- Managed the complex logistics of acquiring clothing and accessories from French, Italian, and American menswear markets for any shoot involving male models or celebrities, working with over 50 leading industry stylists and PR coordinators. 
- Supported Roberta Myers, former Editor-in-Chief of ELLE magazine, including liaising between Robbie and many industry and public relations VIPs answering phones, arranging travel, maintaining a complex calendar.
