Libor Kocian, CRME

Libor Kocian is an experienced leader in the hospitality industry with a passion for innovation and a fearless approach to challenges. He has a Master of Arts degree in cello playing from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, and has supplemented his education with certificates in hospitality revenue management, leadership development, and strategic management from Cornell University and Mount Royal University.

Kocian's career began as an Event Coordinator at Klub Luc and has since served in roles such as Food Service Supervisor at Subway and Guest Services Supervisor at Falcon Crest Lodge. He later moved up to Manager of Revenue and Innovation at CLIQUE Hotels & Resorts, and most recently served as Director of Rooms at Banff Park Lodge, where he implemented strategies to optimize resources and improve guest experiences.

Kocian's skills include leadership, revenue management, innovation, event coordination, and customer service. He combines his love for hospitality with a candid, accountable approach to build a culture of learning and preparedness. Kocian is also interested in technology, having worked as a hospitality technology consultant, and in supporting immigrant communities through his work with the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society.
