Laura Suen

Laura Suen is a skilled physics researcher and science journalist dedicated to promoting accessibility to science for the public and driving positive change.

She pursued an Honours Bachelor of Science with a double major in Physics and Cellular and Molecular Biology, along with a minor in Mathematics at the University of Toronto.

Furthermore, Laura expanded her knowledge base by obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Journalism with a minor in Economics from Ryerson University.

Her professional journey includes roles such as a Nuclear Physicist at Canadian Radiation Protection Services and previous positions at esteemed organizations like TRIUMF, CERN, I F*cking Love Science, MaRS Studio Y, Environment Canada, GANIL, and others.

With a comprehensive background in research assistantships spanning areas like nuclear physics, laser ion spectroscopy, particle astrophysics, medical biophysics, and plant molecular biology, Laura has honed her expertise across multiple scientific disciplines.
