Sweet is a nationally recognized thought leader on safety and processes surrounding patient harm events.2 He works nationally to create collaboration amongst defense lawyers and prepare the next generation of defense attorneys with trial experience.2 Sweet has business holdings in legal outsourcing, technology, banking, e-commerce, commercial real estate, and insurance.2 He is also a captive owner.2
Sweet is Past Chair of the Mercy Health Foundation, former General Counsel of the Lone Survivor Foundation and Emergency Responders Assistance Program, and current Board Member of the University of Washington College of Medicine and the Collaborative for Accountability and Improvement.2 He is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City-Class 36.2
Sweet holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from Phillips University and a Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of Oklahoma College of Law (1994-1997).1 He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Medical Professional Liability Association, and Captive Insurance Companies Association and is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma, Texas, and New York.2
