Douglas Northup is an accomplished lawyer with extensive experience in complex litigation and trial work. He graduated with honors from Oklahoma City University School of Law, and after working as a police officer, he joined Fennemore Craig, P.C. in 1991. Today, he is a director and the former chair of the firm's Commercial Litigation Department where he handles a wide range of legal issues. Northup specializes in real estate, contract, insurance coverage, and bad faith disputes, as well as professional liability defense with an emphasis on legal malpractice cases. He also collaborates on Managing Litigation as a Business, a project designed to eliminate inefficiencies in litigation and align lawyer-client interests.
