Google Cloud Storage

I'm responsible for Google Cloud Storage (GCS) product line. https://cloud.google.com/storage/ 
GCS is an object storage product line, and a major part of Google Cloud business. GCS is used by companies such as Spotify and Vimeo for content serving, and companies such as Motorola and Broad Institute for big data analytics. https://cloud.google.com/customers/

During my work on GCS I've led phenomenal growth of the top and bottom lines. Redesigned our product portfolio to meet current and future customer needs, as well as lead on price and ease of use. Our Multi-Regional storage class is leading on ease of use and price for hot geo-redundant storage. I'm responsible for Cloud Block Storage product line (Persistent Disks and Local SSD). 
During that time I’ve significantly grown block storage top and bottom lines, optimized performance for customer needs, shipped the fastest Local SSD, and the largest block storage among major cloud providers.

Bing UX; DLDW.

  Drove portfolio of high-risk high-reward “Social” features in Bing UX. Developed portfolio management strategy, a pipeline of ideas with hundreds on the top of the funnel, and few that were shipped to A/B experiments. Incubations that have been noticed by the press included Bing Saves, and Expert generated answers. 
   DLDW was a brand new division where I was redefining productivity for the company with smart inferences. My prototypes included smart email inbox ranking, and contact search in Outlook and Lync (that actually works).
   During this period I’ve received a promotion, and was nominated for Microsoft high potential program.

Bing Core Relevance Team.

Led teams with prototyping, personal experimentation, deep data analysis, 80-20 focus, shortening experimentation cycles, improving team agility, starting new initiatives, challenging status quo, and building partnerships. 
   Led 6 PMs on Tail Ranking team, and Contextual Relevance team, 2 most challenging and most scientific teams in Bing Core Relevance. Was responsible for output of ~50 engineers. Built up Tail PM team from the ground up to the most technical and hands-on PM team in the organization. Conducted 70+ Engineering and PM interviews. 
   Constantly exceeded relevance commitments. Shipped 10%+ relevance improvement on Tail, 12% on Foreign Queries, 3% on Super Fresh. Ran on average 150 personal ranking experiments per month, delivered ~0.75% Tail relevance improvements from personal ranking techniques.
   Prototyped and evangelized significant efficiency improvements to UX and instant answer experimentation. Started a new initiative on market share from relevance, built partnership between MSN and Bing relevance, incubated 10 query-share projects like showing eBay for the query Google.
   Consistent top performer. Received multiple awards for exceptional performance, a Tech Transfer Award for shipping a Microsoft Research technology, filed 3 patents, and received 2 promotions.

Worked on two products: Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring (MBAM); Management Modeling Studio (MMS) within Management and Security Devision.
During my work on MBAM I’ve designed and developed highly-scalable database for saving sensitive data of enterprise customers and reporting subsystem on top it. Developed web-based drive recovery UX. Engaged with potential early adopters to better understand customer pain-points, give them more visibility to our product, and make sure that we are on track to deliver great software.
MMS enables capturing knowledge about application lifecycle, importing and exporting it into different management formats. With MMS I’ve developed major UI component as an extension for Visual Studio. Developed major functionality of the exporter to WMI. Extended Visual Studio project system, which enabled extensibility of MMS project system, and different UX behavior for different project templates.

I led a team of 2 developers on a web-UI of a collaborative trading transaction editor.  Created eng design and project plan based on requirements.  Consulted developers transitioning from Java to .NET.  Mentored ~10 interns and junior .NET developers.  Responsible for technical interviews of eng candidates.

Musigy was a social network startup which makes it possible for people to make live music together over the Internet. I designed and developed entire user experience of the Music Conferencing Application over multiple releases. Connected to customers and leveraged their feedback for iterations on the product. Involved in the technical side of the Jazz Koktebel international festival.
