Kathryn Coughlin

Kathryn Coughlin is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse background. She is the owner and wine manager of Sherborn Wine & Spirits, a store known for its curated wine selection, craft beers, and small batch spirits.

Prior to her role at SWS, Kathryn served as the Executive Director of the Alwaleed Islamic Studies Program at Harvard. She holds a master's degree in Middle East History from Georgetown University and has a background in Arab Studies from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service.

Kathryn's expertise lies in Islamic history, with a specialization in Islamic law and gender. Despite abandoning her dissertation for public service in 2001, she has made significant contributions through teaching, lecturing, and presenting papers globally.

As the President of Global Research Group from 2004 to 2010, a non-profit organization focused on public diplomacy in Muslim communities, Kathryn collaborated with prestigious institutions like the U.S. State Department, National Geographic, and the Smithsonian Institute.
