Kate Carter

Kate Carter is an accomplished violinist, renowned for her performances and dedication to music education. She holds a Doctorate in Violin Performance from Northwestern University and a Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music. Her Bachelor of Music, earned Summa Cum Laude, was completed at the University of California, Irvine.

Throughout her career, Kate Carter has been involved with prestigious organizations like Northwestern University, where she serves as a Violin Instructor. She has also held positions such as Chair of the Performance Committee at the MUSICIANS CLUB OF WOMEN and Assistant Treasurer at the Chicago Musicians Club of Women.

Her teaching experience extends across various institutions including Lake Forest College, the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, Merit School of Music, and many more. Kate has showcased her talent as a violinist with groups like the Camerata Chicago, Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra, and Northwest Indiana Symphony.

Apart from her performances and teaching, Kate Carter has also excelled as a chamber music coach, clinician, and lecturer. Her contributions to the field of music have earned her awards and recognition for her exceptional skills and dedication.
