Karen Monath

Karen Monath is a seasoned Hospitality Consultant and Associate Dean of Hospitality Management with a wealth of expertise in foodservice operations, customer experience improvement, and employee engagement strategies.

With a keen interest in enhancing profitability through effective customer experience management, Karen works with foodservice establishments looking to expand their operations.

Karen's specialties include concept design, research and development, menu engineering, market research, branding, facility design, feasibility studies, environmental engineering with a focus on sustainability, health and safety education, customer and employee engagement measurement, HR practices, customized training, employee recruitment standards, CECCP© training, financial analysis, operational assessments, secret shopping services, and keynote speaking engagements.

She obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and an A.O.S. in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America.

Karen has held key positions such as Associate Dean of Hospitality Management and Assistant Professor at Cuyahoga Community College, Senior Consultant at KLM Business Consulting, Interim Director of Hospitality Management at Cuyahoga Community College, and Owner of H. Power & Associates.

She has also served as the Director of Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management at Penn State University.
