Karen Rogers
Associate Dean, College of Architecture, Design and Construction at Auburn University
Karen L. Rogers is the Associate Dean of the College of Architecture, Design and Construction at Auburn University. She has a robust academic background, holding a Ph.D. in the History and Theory of Architecture from Binghamton University (SUNY), obtained in 2005, as well as a Master of Arts in the same field from the same institution in 2002. She completed her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at Yale University in 1975.1
Before her current role, Rogers served as the Interim Dean of the College and has also held positions as the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Associate Professor of Architecture within the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture at Auburn. Her prior experience includes working in Bogotá, Colombia, where she was the Dean of the School of Architecture and Design at the University of Los Andes, and she was also involved with the Bogotá Museum of Modern Art as its founding Director and Curator of Architecture.12
Rogers' research primarily focuses on comparative analysis of settlement patterns and place-making priorities across the Americas. She has received several prestigious fellowships and awards for her contributions to research and teaching, including recognition from the American Council of Learned Societies and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Research Center.1
