Kamran Alipour

Kamran Alipour is a Ph.D. candidate in computer science at UC San Diego, specializing in computer vision, explainable AI, and interpretable machine learning. His research primarily focuses on implementing and evaluating XAI systems for various applications such as visual question answering (VQA), natural language processing (NLP), and medical imaging. Kamran's work delves into the impact of explanations on users' trust in AI and the effectiveness of different explanation methods in enhancing transparency in human-machine interactions.

Kamran holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego. Prior to his Ph.D., he pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Aerospace Engineering at Sharif University of Technology and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Aerospace Engineering at K. N. Toosi University of Technology.

With a background in computer science and aerospace engineering, Kamran Alipour has held notable positions in various organizations. Currently, he serves as a Ph.D. candidate at the University of California, San Diego. Previously, Kamran worked as an AI Research Scientist at Outward, Inc., and held roles as a Data Scientist at both Outward, Inc. and CureMetrix.
