Xinqiao Zhang
Graduate Student Researcher at UC San Diego
Xinqiao Zhang is a Ph.D. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), with an expected graduation date of August 2024.145 He also holds an MS in ECE from San Diego State University (SDSU) earned between 2017 and 2019.1 His research focuses on adversarial machine learning, hardware security, and privacy-preserving machine learning.2

Previously, Zhang was a Research Intern at Arm in Austin, TX, during the summers of 2022 and 2023.4 His PhD advisors are Farinaz Koushanfar and Ke Huang.1
Zhang's work has been recognized with an outstanding paper award at NeurIPS 2022 TSRML.4 He also received the DAC Young Fellow award at the 58th Design Automation Conference.4 His research contributions include publications in areas such as federated machine learning, language models, and real-time prediction for IC aging based on machine learning.3 He has also contributed to patents related to media authentication, countering deepfakes, and hardware security.34
