Julie MacDonell is a senior-level lawyer, founder and CEO of Haloo, co-founder of Trademark Group, a bilingual and registered Trademark Agent in Canada and the US. She specializes in trademark and intellectual property (IP) law, working with a range of clients from large multi-national corporations to small businesses and startups. MacDonell is also a sought-after domain expert in the field, often providing legal commentary to major news sources like the Globe & Mail, the Toronto Star, and CBC. Her experience includes having worked as an associate lawyer at two separate law firms and as a principal and senior entertainment and media lawyer. In addition to her legal expertise, MacDonell is a staunch advocate for human rights, Indigenous rights, civil liberties, and children’s rights.
