Jess Weems is a dedicated educator with a passion for inspiring students through exploration and creative activities in the field of science. With a strong background in grant writing, outdoor leadership, classroom technology, community service-learning, international service-learning, character education, and schoolyard ecology research, Jess brings a wealth of experience to the academic realm.
In addition to her expertise in education, Jess is also an accomplished painter known for her work in encaustic art, primarily using hot beeswax and resin. Her current art series incorporates map and topographical imagery, reflecting a blend of artistic expression and scientific inspiration. Jess shares her artistic talents by teaching encaustic classes in Reno and various locations nationwide.
