    Dr. Shaun O'Boyle holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology and has been actively engaged in science communication, public outreach, and audio production since 2010.

    He is a key player in the field of science communication, focusing on producing audio content, organizing events and exhibitions, consulting on public engagement initiatives, and conducting workshops on science communication.

    With a strong commitment to diversity, Shaun works on various projects aimed at enhancing the representation of LGBTQ+ scientists.

    As a co-founder of Bureau, alongside artist Maurice Kelliher, he specializes in creating radio documentaries, podcast series, and audio stories that showcase diverse perspectives and unique narratives.

    Shaun is known for his expertise in developing and advising on events, exhibitions, and science communication projects, emphasizing innovative and creative approaches to engage audiences.

    He is currently involved in high-profile projects such as the Schrödinger at 75 international scientific conference, ReCollect oral history archive of science in free India, and a novel initiative at DCU focusing on scientific terminology in Irish Sign Language.

    An accomplished educator, Shaun teaches at Trinity College Dublin and will serve as a visiting lecturer at Science Gallery, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, offering workshops and courses on science communication and public engagement.

    With an academic background including a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology and a B.Sc. in Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Genetics, both from the National University of Ireland, Galway, Shaun brings a wealth of knowledge to his various roles and projects.

    Throughout his career, Shaun has been associated with reputable organizations such as House of STEM, March for Science, Ireland, Trinity College Dublin, Science Gallery Dublin, and Newstalk 106-108, among others, holding positions ranging from Chair and Co-organizer to Content Producer and Science Communicator.
