Directly recruited by the CTO, I developed and implemented a process for prioritizing, vetting, and launching innovation programs across multiple business areas, including fulfillment, merchandising, employee tools and customer interaction. Working with multiple internal partners, I built an internal communication strategy for how we talk about and implement innovation programs using a Hypothesis, Test, Measure and Iterate approach. As the sole Silicon Valley-based non-store employee for the company, I worked with accelerators I knew in Silicon Valley to both source new capabilities as well as to mentor startups in their program about how to partner with Fortune 500 companies looking to transform their business. I also lead mobile strategy, overseeing a roadmap that created the highest value customers for Babies “R” Us.

Directly recruited by the Chief Digital Officer to build consumer mobile program and transform customer experience in stores. Oversaw the mobile ecosystem and business as well as ran Store of the Future program (innovation program) to transform customer journey. AEO’s app had the highest value customers for the company (in visits, average order value and dwell time) and had 3+ consecutive years of triple digit revenue growth. It also won eTail Best in Class Mobile App. Oversaw the creation of app for store employees to engage with customers that became a key training tool. Piloted AEO programs in the app like Reserve, Try and Buy (reserve online and pick up in store) and self checkout. Started the Conversational Commerce program to engage with digital customers using bot and chat technology.

As part of the team that helped launch Expedia's first booking app in 2011, I worked in all aspects of marketing Expedia's mobile products around the globe and helped integrate mobile into the broader Expedia business. During my time with Expedia, we had the number #1 free travel app in over 40 countries.

My responsibilities included:

• Overseeing global mobile launch plans
* Managing relationships with Apple's iTunes team and Google Android team
• Appointing and working with marketing agencies to drive mobile app downloads and transactions globally
• Integrating mobile marketing into broader Expedia marketing channels
• Working as part of the Product team to develop product roadmap that aligns with marketing calendar and goals
• Managing the messaging for mobile products to press and representing Expedia as the mobile spokesperson at public events globally
• Working on the ground locally with teams in Brazil, Mexico, Japan, England and other countries to launch our app and position Expedia as mobile innovators

Mobiata created best-selling and award winning travel apps. I joined when Mobiata was a handful of people to build out marketing capabilities, resulting in Mobiata having multiple apps in the top 10 in the iTunes App Store travel category. As part of the executive team, I helped steer Mobiata to acquisition by Expedia in 2010 and I stayed with the team to manage global marketing efforts for Expedia's mobile initiatives.  

I oversaw all the marketing duties, including:

• Creating detailed marketing launch plans across platforms for both in-house as well as apps we built for other travel companies
• Public Relations efforts that lead to features in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, the Today Show, BBC and many other outlets.
• Overseeing relationships with Apple resulting in our FlightBoard app being used as demo on iPads in Apple stores globally
• Overseeing relationships with Google that resulted in Mobiata demoing apps at both Google I/O and in the Android booth at Mobile World Congress.

As VP, I handled the same aspects as the Creative Director role, but Moderati was transitioning into a digital marketing company as well and that added a whole additional area of business for the company. I continued to manage the marketing, design and merchandising teams, but I also took on the Product team and managed new areas, including:
•  Ideation for mobile products and pitches to leading entertainment and consumer product companies.
• Managing the creation and launches for apps for several entertainment companies, including iPhone apps for A&amp;E Networks and EMI Music.

Moderati was a mobile entertainment company that helped launch mobile entertainment content in the US. I ran creative, merchandising, design, branding, promotions and marketing relationships with all partners. I hired and managed the design, marketing and merchandising teams. I started when Moderati was just a handful of employees and helped build it into a formidable mobile company. 

I wore many hats and handled many responsibilities, including:

• Marketing relationships with AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T- Mobile, Sprint and Virgin Mobile. 
•  Content creation and distribution, including mobile content for NBC Universal, Nickelodeon, Paramount, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, Universal Music, EMI Music, the Orchard, IODA and many others
• Managing creative and marketing for several mobile apps including the Zippo Virtual Lighter iPhone app 
• Public Relations and Communication Strategy

Creative Director

I managed a team of brand marketing employees as well as a network of local employees in various markets around the country. I managed event sponsorships, guerilla marketing and the creation of all marketing materials. I directly negotiated and managed venue sponsorships at some of the nations best venues - the Bottom of the Hill in SF, Brownies in NY and the Crocodile Café in Seattle to name a few. Listen was later acquired by Real Networks and became Rhapsody.
