Jeffrey J. Denning, ACMHC, CMAS, CPS
Jeffrey Denning is a multifaceted individual with an extensive background in law enforcement and specialized military training. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration from Ottawa University and two Master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Military Special Operations/Low-Intensity Conflict from Grand Canyon University and American Military University, respectively.
Denning's experience in law enforcement ranges from detective work and crisis intervention to handling firearms and tactics training. He worked as a CIT Detective and Peer Support Team Leader at the Salt Lake City Police Department, where he helped those in crisis and provided emotional support to his colleagues. He was also a former FTO, Hostage Negotiator, and Shooting Team Captain. In addition, he served as a Captain in the US Army Reserves and spent time as a Federal Air Marshal.
Denning's expertise in law enforcement extends to the nuclear security and diplomatic realms. He worked as a Firearms and Tactics Training Instructor in the nuclear security industry and as an Independent Contractor for the US Government Customer, providing firearms and tactics training. He also worked as an Independent Contractor for the US State Department's Diplomatic Security Service.
In his personal life, Denning has a passion for adrenaline-driven activities such as cliff jumping and horse riding expeditions. He has faced close calls with danger, including being chased by a bull and negotiating with individuals wanting to harm themselves.
