Kara Cloud is a budding young public service-oriented researcher in the field of psychology who has a deep interest in the mental health and wellbeing of underrepresented communities. Her work aims to improve the quality of life for people facing challenging living conditions. Kara has honed her skills through various research projects over the years and currently leads an independent study on PTSD in low-income individuals. Kara also has an impressive educational background, having successfully completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania.

Throughout her career, Kara has worked as a Harm Reduction Advocate for the City of Philadelphia's Department of Public Health, and as a Solutions Research and Design Consultant at Year Up. She has also held various research positions at prestigious organizations such as the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Penn Medicine, gaining experience with cutting-edge research tools such as REDCap, NVivo, R, JMP, Matlab, and Excel.

Kara's ability to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines makes her an invaluable team player. Her leadership and social media marketing skills are evident in her experience as the former Director of Social Media Marketing at New Canaan Veterinary Hospital. As a Peer Discussion Facilitator at The Reflection Organization, Kara enjoys building connections throughout her community, sharing her knowledge and learning from others.
