Ivy Staker

Social Anthropologist

Ivy Staker is an accomplished social anthropologist, community researcher, and project manager with extensive experience in various fields including healthcare, agriculture, social entrepreneurship, non-profits, and disability/social services. Ivy obtained a Bachelor's Degree with Honors and a Master's Degree in Social Anthropology from Dalhousie University. She brings a growth mindset and a deep commitment to social justice to all her work. With ethnographic research, surveying, interviewing, and qualitative/quantitative data analysis, she helps solve problems, creates services, and offers support to the well-being of individuals, communities, and societies. Ivy's work spans across different organizations; she is an Applied Ethnographer at InWithForward, a former Resident Anthropologist and Lead Storyfinder at Muse Storytelling, Inc as well as a former Senior Community Engagement Specialist and Community Engagement Strategist at United Way of the Lower Mainland. Ivy has also worked as both a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Dalhousie University and a Caregiver and Junior ABA Therapist at Private Employer. As a solutions-focused and detail-oriented professional, Ivy is passionate about studying human lives and unseen systems to better understand and improve the experiences of the communities she serves.
