Hsiau-Wei (Jack) Lee
Director of NMR Technology
Hsiau-Wei (Jack) Lee, currently the Director of NMR Technology at UC Santa Cruz, holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Georgia State University.
With a focus on biomolecular NMR spectroscopy, Lee collaborates with various departments on campus, aiding in research related to protein and RNA structure determination.
During his postdoctoral training with Professor James H. Prestegard, Lee specialized in understanding protein function, protein-protein interactions, and high-resolution solution structures through biomolecular NMR techniques.
Lee has expertise in residual dipolar coupling (RDC)-based methodologies and novel amide proton/deuterium exchange (HDX)-based strategies for protein structure determination.
Apart from academia, Lee has experience working with the Northeast Structural Genomics (NESG) Consortium on high throughput protein structure determination methods and strategies.
