Gordon Firemark is an experienced entertainment attorney, theatre producer, and educator with a background in radio, television, film, and journalism. He studied at the University of Oregon and Southwestern Law School before establishing the Law Offices of Gordon P. Firemark and later forming Firemark Enterprises.
As a specialist in the entertainment industry, especially theatre, film, television, and music, he has produced several musicals and plays and is an expert in intellectual property law. Firemark has taught lawyers about theatre law and has worked with many clients in the industry to bring creative and business elements together to produce not only movies and TV shows but also digital media.
Firemark has authored a book titled "The Podcast, Blog & New Media Producers Legal Survival Guide," and has hosted the Entertainment Law Update Podcast. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at multiple universities, including Loyola Marymount University and Southwestern Law School. Firemark has been the President of Theatre Producer Academy and the Board President of Academy for New Musical Theatre.
Throughout his career, Firemark has been a sound designer at Norris Theatre, interned at MGM, and worked as a business affairs attorney at The Business Affairs Group. He is well-known in the entertainment industry as "THE theatre lawyer."
