Fran Osseo-Asare
Founder and CEO, BETUMI: The African Culinary Network
Fran Osseo-Asare is a highly educated individual with a PhD in Rural Sociology specializing in African Development and Social Change from Penn State University. He also holds a BA and MSW in Social Welfare from U.C., Berkeley.
Throughout his career, Fran has been actively involved in various organizations and positions. He has served as a TED Fellow for Africa: The Next Chapter at TED GLOBAL and founded BETUMI: The African Culinary Network. Additionally, he has held roles such as Lecturer at The Pennsylvania State University, Visiting Associate Professor at the African University of Science & Technology in Abuja, Nigeria, and Instructor at AUST (African University of Science and Technology, Abuja). Fran has also contributed as a Rostered Artist for Creative Nonfiction Writing at Galaxy: The Arts in Education Program and as an Instructional Materials Designer at The World Campus, Penn State.
